Joe's Pizza is a haven for those who appreciate the art of pizza making. Their Sicilian Pepperoni Slice bursts with a perfect balance of spicy pepperoni and rich tomato sauce atop a golden, crunchy crust. The BBQ Chicken Pie offers a smoky, tangy twist, mingling tender chicken pieces with savory barbecue sauce and gooey cheese—each bite a harmonious blend of comforting flavors. For a more traditional route, the Mozzarella Cheese Pizza and Grandma’s Pizza evoke nostalgic memories of homemade family meals, their thin crusts crisp and buttery, crowned with fresh, bubbly cheese. Lovers of hearty, meat-forward options will find the Meat Lovers Pie delightfully satisfying, teeming with flavorful sausage, pepperoni, and bacon.
The menu extends beyond pizza to satisfy varied tastes. Their lineup of “heroes” – handheld sandwiches stacked generously with fresh ingredients – are standouts on their own. The Chicken Parm Hero, featuring breaded chicken cutlet, marinara, and melted mozzarella, is an indulgent, comforting classic that sings of Italian-American culinary heritage. Equally enticing is the Meatball Hero, with perfectly seasoned roasted meatballs bathed in marinara and mozzarella, offering a rich, hearty bite every time. Vegetarians will appreciate the Veggie Hero loaded with mixed peppers, mushrooms, olives, onions, and gooey cheese, celebrating fresh and vibrant flavors.
For those seeking a green side or a lighter option, the salad choices at Joe’s Pizza reflect simple yet fresh ingredients, from the crisp Italian Salad dressed in a tangy balsamic vinaigrette to the classic Caesar Salad topped with parmesan and crunchy croutons. Larger catering trays of salads are also available, making Joe’s Pizza a dependable option for group events and gatherings.
Regulars praise not only the food but the overall experience. Todd Owens highlights the perfectly thin crust with just the right crunch, paired with fantastic customer service that keeps them coming back for whole pies after sampling slices. Alex Moye’s review brings to life the vibrant atmosphere of the spot—the clean, comfortable space, the friendly and attentive staff, and the delicious pizza that stands toe-to-toe with iconic East Coast pizzerias. Frank MacGyver’s late-night visit after a dance event testifies to the addictive quality of Joe’s pizzas, underscoring the variety of flavors and that satisfying crunchy crust. Rick Lupert echoes this sentiment, emphasizing how Joe’s delivers an authentic NYC-style pizza experience far from the East Coast, perfect for a post-concert snack. While Michael Winland appreciates the great prices and inviting ambiance, he notes the pasta could use a flavor boost—nonetheless, he’s sold on sticking to the pizzas.
Joe’s Pizza marries tradition with a distinctly local flavor, creating a welcoming spot where families, friends, and solo diners can indulge in some of Los Angeles’s most satisfying slices. Whether you’re ordering in through their reliable pizza delivery, grabbing a quick takeaway, or settling in for a casual meal surrounded by a warm, buzzing atmosphere, Joe’s Pizza promises a genuine taste of Italian-American comfort food that hits all the right notes.
Went for a slice last night. Went back today for a whole pie. Great pizza! Customer service was fantastic both times, I would highly recommend both the cheese and pepperoni. I love the crust perfectly thin with just enough crunch.
Yo...this pizza place definitely stands on its own 2 feet against east coast pizza spots. They music vibe was classic Hip Hop and the people were super chill, observant to our needs and quick to serve. Pizza was beyond delicious and the establishment was clean and comfortable...Ima eat there again tonight!!
1st time here, 9/5/25 Maybe it's because I just danced my butt off across the street and I'm still drunk and it's 2 am. But these pizzas are delicious. So many flavors to choose from, plus the crust is nice and crunchy! I'll be back.
Sometimes you need a slice of NY Pizza...separate from dinner, or any other meal...whatever time it may be...it has to be a slice of legitimate NYC style pizza. Joe's delivers (haha, literally...) on that promise. We stopped in after a concert nearby before public transporting it back to the Santa Clarita Valley which is a wasteland in terms of authentic NYC style pizza. I got a slice of cheese. That's always the litmus test of a pizza...if they can do the cheese right, they go on the "good list." Joe's is definitely on my good list. The sauce and cheese ratio is perfect. The crust is exactly as thin and crispy as it should be as if you picked it up in any slice shop in the original 5 boroughs. There's a ton of pizza in L.A. A good percentage of it is great pizza...a smaller percentage of it, despite how it's labeled, is actual, real NYC style pizza. Joe's is one of those places. They've got locations strategically throughout Los Angeles, so if there's a pizza emergency, you might be in good shape. (Please open a spot in Santa Clarita, Joe's...please.) Try a "grandma slice" if you're feeling frisky.
Great pizza shop, atmosphere and friendly staff. I really like the pizza options, you can choose and the prices are great. However the spaghetti tasted bland and no sides or bread is included. I’ll pass on the dinner plates, but definitely will get pizza slices.
Some of the best pizza you can find in the heart of DTLA. Open late. You can grab a whole pie or pick slices. Each slice of pizza is taken from the pies behind the counter, and warmed in an oven to pizza perfection before being served. Definitely reminds me of NY style pizza with the large, thin slices. Their garlic knots are pretty fire too. My favorite pizzas they have are their classic cheese pizza, the white pizza, and the pepperoni. It’s a relaxed vibe inside with table seating, bar-like seating along a wall, and a small outdoor area where you can lean and eat pizza on a counter.
Great pizza but once I finished my second slice, the rest of my pizza loses its crunch sitting on the solid metal pizza pan. I wish they had dine in equipment that sat our pizza on a lifted aerated platform so the crust remains crunchy.
One of best pizza spots I’ve been on in DTLA. I highly recommend this spot and the selection was pretty good. We tried pretty much most of the pizzas and the crust was on point along with the flavors. My favorite was the white pizza and it’s probably the best white pizza I’ve ever had. I’d definitely come back again or do pick up orders in the future.
